lyrics
A moment of silence for your putrid soul,
You didn’t want to live beyond twenty-four,
So, off you went to a land well-spent
On people that you loved and adored.
You only spoke of sullen days,
Phoebe Bridgers and the gays,
And occasionally that one really nice guy,
So terrible, what happened to you,
Suicidal ideation on the loose,
For me it’s tough but life is hard to lose.
Never mind all that I didn’t say,
You were beyond repair anyway.
Cold, pale and stone-faced,
Death comes with its own grace,
You always were a friend of it,
Admirer of ‘ending it.’
With marks you’ve got and tests you’ve aced,
Your father would be proud of it,
After all of the abuse, you revel in this race too.
I want to be you,
You want to be me,
So I’m writing this elegy
You’d probably find this eccentric, not your taste,
But this elegy certainly won’t be a waste.
Never mind all that I didn’t say,
But this elegy certainly won’t be a waste.
