Faking chances,
Making advances.
I have a habit of looking in your direction,
Amongst a selection of pretty people parked with their partners.
Habitual liking, I indulge in all the pictures,
I try to say something clever,
To cut through all the clutter
That’s probably on your mind,
You seem a little distressed,
The kind that never asks for help,
The kind who always sleeps less.

I’m transparent with a bow in my hair,
A perfect present for your grief and your despair,
Honestly, I see the weird and the strange,
This poetry month is just a disguise for your praise.

She’s getting lazy, all she does is think of you,
And write about you,
And smile about you.
Pathetic doesn’t even begin to cover it,
In the true spirit of my foolish self I submit to this habit.

I’m transparent with a bow in my hair,
A perfect present for your grief and your despair,
Hopelessly breathing in the same air as you,
My habits will take over and my mind will argue
My mind will argue.
